NMR Center at the Institute of Chemistry

The NMR facility in Debrecen is an inter- and multi-disciplinary infrastructure supporting NMR research activities in diverse areas from chemistry, biology, biochemistry, medicine and material sciences. The facility operates four spectrometers, including a triple channel Bruker Avance II 500, Bruker DRX 360 and Bruker AC-200 for liquid-state and a Bruker DRX 400 for liquid- and solid-state NMR measurements. Our facility offers a wide range of high resolution, multinuclear and multidimensional NMR measurements for structure determination and dynamics study of carbohydrates, peptides, proteins and other synthetic and natural products. We have expertise in NMR studies of different metal complexes and colloid systems. In our laboratory we have designed numerous new experiments or modified the earlier ones for sensitive and reliable measurement of the structurally and dynamically important NMR parameters. Recent experimental developments have concentrated on characterization of ligand-protein interactions. Our research infrastructure is participating in EAST-NMR (FP7).

Access to liquid-state NMR through

EU FP7 East-NMR project

University of Debrecen offers an access to liquid state NMR research at our NMR Center (Debrecen NMR Center, DEBNMR) for free of charge. The service is available especially for new NMR users from the Eastern European region. The EU FP7 project will reimburse the travel and subsistence costs for the users.
